This post will cover something that we are very very strong believers of, and extremely passionate about when exploring our current and potential clients exercise, nutrition, lifestyle habits, and mindset habits during our one-to-one or video consultations is the importance of ‘your reason why’.
From our combined 16 years of purely coaching individuals from all walks of life one-to-one, helping people improve and pursue complete lifestyle and body shaping transformations we have experienced firsthand that your GOAL(s) when deciding to make a long-term lifestyle change or commitment and your reason ‘WHY’ needs to be stronger than for a new bikini, or for a holiday.
It needs to be stronger than “I need to lose weight”, it needs to be stronger than “I want a body like his”, it needs to be stronger then “I want to get big arms”.
Your reason for starting or improving a physical, or mental journey, or what ever you are walking towards needs to be something close to your heart, close to your mind and it needs to keep the fire in your belly burning!
It needs to be or mean something so powerful, so important and so strong that it still keeps you going on the tough days, on the stressful days, on the days where you aren’t feeling 100%, on the days where it’s dark and cold outside, and all of the other hard times!
(Because let’s face, no year / 2 years / duration of time is plain sailing!)
Sure, you’ll fall off from time to time, that is a very human, real life aspect of life in general, but it’s the getting back on, it’s the resuming after a blip, its focusing on that reason why, and continuing on your your self improvement, or whatever physical/mental journey you are on!
Understanding your core “why” will help you find clarity.
It will make sure you don’t live the same year over and over again.
Don’t waste this precious valuable time that we been been given running around in circles, beating yourself up, self sabotaging and genuinely being unhappy.
Do you know your ‘why’ – that is a rhetorical question by the way.
If you’re struggling with where to start, please consider our 12 week e-book, this covers a large area on goal/setting, and really helps to embed some short and long-term goals setting.
We hope this post gets you thinking, we hope this post motivates you, and we hope this post helps you move forwards!
